Carter Barrett is running for Georgia House to create the best possible future for Forsyth County.

Meet Carter

Carter Barrett is a native Georgian, proud University of Georgia graduate, and proven business and community leader in Forsyth County.

In 2006, Carter started Community Business Bank. By focusing on business fundamentals and conservative economic principles, he kept the bank profitable through the Great Recession before selling it in 2015. He’s since become North Atlanta Market President for Affinity Bank and is a founding member of Dime Capital.

Carter has served his community and Forsyth County on numerous boards and organizations for over 30 years — including Sawnee Community Center, Northside Hospital Foundation, United Way of Forsyth County, GNFCC, Forsyth County Chamber, The Place of Forsyth, Peachtree Parkway Improvement District and Pups with a Purpose.

He is a graduate of Leadership Forsyth and Leadership North Fulton, a founding member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Lanier Forsyth, Co-chair of Envision 2030 and has been recognized by the Forsyth County News as a “Man of Forsyth”, as well as receiving the Chamber Chairman’s Award twice and Paramount Achievement Award.

Carter has also been recognized by the Georgia House of Representatives for contributions and service to Forsyth County.

Carter and Jamie live in Cumming, GA where their daughters graduated from West Forsyth High School. They attend North Point Community Church.

Tested Conservative Leadership for Forsyth County

Forsyth County is facing 200% growth in the next 30-years, and we need a Representative who can see the bigger picture, anticipate problems and align people to get things done.

That has been Carter’s approach to leadership in business, in this community, and in his involvement in the Republican Party.

In the Georgia State House, Carter will put his experience to work to help Forsyth County imagine the possibilities, and then roll up his sleeves to deliver results.

Carter will work to get every ounce of support he can for Forsyth County schools, and he’ll work with the school board to protect parents’ rights and keep CRT out of our schools.

Carter has created jobs and opportunities in Forsyth County for more than 30 years. In the Georgia House, he’ll work to get government out of the way and to continue to make Forsyth County the best place to live, work, raise a family, and retire.

Fix Post Road traffic and safety. Period. Carter will stand his ground to produce smart, safe and aesthetically pleasing solutions for our roads and infrastructure.

Government shouldn’t force taxes, mandates, and propaganda into every facet of our lives. Carter knows that from firsthand experience as a business owner, and he’ll stand strong for limited government.

What we believe matters, and Carter will fight hard in the Georgia House to protect life from conception and defend our Constitutional rights.
